A bit about me
I am an artist located in a beautiful small town called Ngāruawāhia just outside of Hamilton NZ. I grew up with a creative mum on farm not far from there. I have been creating in one form or another since I was very small and have fond memories of sitting with my mum colouring and listening to her teachings on blending and colour layering to create depth and texture.
Art was my passion in Highschool, however I put it aside once leaving school to complete other studies. After my first child was born I picked up a pencil again, this reignited my passion and it lead to me seeking out art schools where I came across The Learning Connexion. I studied for a few years. Between life changes and having children I have had to put my artwork on hold more often than I would like, but always returning to it in the end.
After my 3rd and last child was born I started doing portraits of my own pets and family to start with then for friends and extended family. I also was creating custom painted ukulele for those close to me. This gave me confidence to advertise on Facebook and to attend local markets. Which leads us to now, where I have had the pleasure of creating hundreds of portraits, custom artworks, along with hundreds of ukulele, and have a growing range of giftware. I am so excited for the future, with plans of a designated studio space and a small shop.
thanks so much for taking the time to have a read about my journey so far. If you would like to know more, or are interested in having something created, please do get in touch.
